It’s been another busy and successful period of golf at Macksville Country Club, with strong fields across our midweek competitions, ladies events, and representative fixtures. Congratulations to all winners and ball recipients, and a special mention to our Pennant side for a solid opening round victory away at Kempsey. Thank you to everyone who continues to support club golf — your participation is what keeps our competitions thriving week in, week out.

2026 Mens Pennants DIV 2 – Coffs Vs Macksville

Standings – Coffs Harbour Hosted Macksville at Kempsey Golf Club on Sunday. The course conditions were good. Play it as it lies through some tricky conditions under the gum trees and the greens were firm and fast. However, Macksville was able to keep coffs at bay with a 3.5/1.5 win (Squared Matches are worth half a point). Results below.

Well done to the Macksville side on a strong opening round performance. A huge thank you to Alan and Michael helping out with numbers on the weekend.

Coffs have complained about the draw with changes to the next 2 rounds seeing us play Kempsey this weekend at home. Team this week is D Luffman, B Lavender, M Baker, J Welsh and K Cooper. Both Macksville and Kempsey will play a Coffs team each in the final round.

We will need 2 Players to stand in to play Kempsey at Coffs Weekend of the 15th February. So be prepared for a tap on the shoulder.

Junior Girls Golf Scholarship Program – 2026

Macksville Country Club is proud to be a successful recipient of the Australian Golf Foundation (AGF) Junior Girls Golf Scholarship Program for 2026, a national initiative designed to grow and support girls’ participation in golf. Through this program, selected junior girls will receive a 12-month club membership, access to 24 sessions of coaching and support and exercise classes over the 12 months, and official AGF program merchandise, all at no cost to the participants. The program focuses not only on developing golf skills, but also on building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong connection to the game. The scholarship will run throughout 2026, with recruitment underway and the program scheduled to commence in February. This is an exciting opportunity for our club to support the next generation of female golfers and strengthen the future of golf at MCC.

We have room for 8 Participants, ages 9 – 16. If you know any junior girls that are keen to learn how to play and even work their way to a handicap. Ages 9 – 16.

This has been sent to all the schools.

Applications have been extended till the 16th February.
