Welcome to another week at Macksville Country Club as we roll on through the new golfing season. It’s been great to see strong participation across both weekend and midweek competitions, with plenty of quality golf on display. A friendly reminder to all members to please make use of the online timesheet when booking your rounds. Using the online system helps the Match Committee manage fields efficiently, ensures fair access for everyone, and keeps competition days running smoothly. Thank you to all members for your cooperation, and best of luck to everyone teeing it up this week.

2026 Mens Pennants – Players Needed

The season kicks off this weekend for Men’s Pennants at Kempsey Golf Club. Macksville have entered the Division 2 competition and will play against Kempsey and 2 Coffs Sides. At the time of submission, we had a full side, but due to other players’ commitments, we are looking for another Player and a Reserve for the competition. The Draw is as follows. If you would like to play in a competitive Hcp Matchplay Competition and play other courses, please reply to the email mattbaker@soulitudehealth.com.au. P.S. There is no cost to play, you have to bring your “A” game. The only thing is that our aggregate handicap has to be greater than 20.0 and less than 40.0 on the day of play.

Junior Girls Golf Scholarship Program – 2026

Macksville Country Club is proud to be a successful recipient of the Australian Golf Foundation (AGF) Junior Girls Golf Scholarship Program for 2026, a national initiative designed to grow and support girls’ participation in golf. Through this program, selected junior girls will receive a 12-month club membership, access to 24 sessions of coaching and support and exercise classes over the 12 months, and official AGF program merchandise, all at no cost to the participants. The program focuses not only on developing golf skills, but also on building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong connection to the game. The scholarship will run throughout 2026, with recruitment underway and the program scheduled to commence in February. This is an exciting opportunity for our club to support the next generation of female golfers and strengthen the future of golf at MCC.

We have room for 8 Participants, ages 9 – 16. If you know any junior girls that are keen to learn how to play and even work their way to a handicap. Ages 9 – 16.

Dale Brunsdon Senior Citizen of the Year

Congratualtions to Dale Brunsdon on winning Senior Citizen of the Year and the Nambucca Valley Australia Day Awards. Dale has been a long time respected member of the club and still donates time to Meals on Wheels, with Lifetime Connect.
